The Founder

Natraj Hotel was founded by the Late Mr. Anil Magdum in 1984, with the first hotel established in Vadodara to honor the former king of the region,Anil Magdum, after whom the company is named. The company began as Monali Land & Housing Company Pvt Ltd in April 1982, incorporated as a private limited company before converting to a public limited company in 1987 and commencing hotel operations in 1995. The Rupnil Group has since expanded its hospitality presence across India, known for its focus on personalized service and luxury.

History

Founding and Origins

  • Founder: The visionary founder was Late Mr. Anil Magdum, who established the group with a goal to redefine Indian hospitality standards. 
  • Inception: The company’s initial name was Monali Land & Housing Company Pvt Ltd, incorporated in April 1990. 
  • Conversion: It transitioned into a public limited company in April 1992. 
  • First Hotel: The first Hotel Rupnil was opened in Vadodara in 1995. 

Growth and Expansion

  • Early Expansion: In January 1999, the company raised funds to finance a two-star hotel in Indore. 
  • Strategic Growth: The group has developed a significant hospitality presence, with hotels in several key business centers across states like Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, and Maharashtra. 
  • Modern Focus: Nueva Restaurant Ltd continues to grow, aiming to expand its portfolio with a strategic plan for new rooms nationwide.
